Here for the Brokenhearted

Psalm 34:18   (KJV)   18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

God is as close to us as could possibly be; He’s with us; for believers, He’s in us. But somehow, there is still a special kind of closeness we experience when we’re brokenhearted.

When we’re brokenhearted, that’s when we need comfort the most; that’s when we need someone to be with us the most. We rest assured; we can always count on God. He never disappoints us. He never leaves us.

It’s possible for believers to be brokenhearted and to be contrite in spirit. It’s also an experience unbelievers go through. The difference is, we are aware of His presence, and that’s the difference between peace and turmoil.

His nearness and his salvation are more than enough assurances for us to brave broken heart and extreme pressure.

There is no time when we go through our troubles alone. There is no time when God doesn’t save us.
