Job 6:10 (KJV) 10 Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
Despite the extremely difficult trial Job was undergoing, he took comfort in the truth that he did not conceal or deny God’s Words.
True relationship with God—true Christianity is all-season Christianity. No matter what the season of our lives is, we worship God; we live faithfully according to the dictates and instructions of His Word. Others enjoy walking with the Lord only when everything is bright; the sun is shining; the flowers are blooming; the birds are singing. But when it gets dark and cold, they treat God the same way—dark and cold.
Dear God, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You’re there through all seasons of our lives. Help us to be all-season believers. We understand that others may turn away from us in dark, cold seasons of our journey, but let us not do that to You. Your love for us never fluctuates and never ends; it never changes with the changing situations we find ourselves in. Help us to be steadfast, and for us to always be increasingly passionate in our love for You and Your Words—in Jesus’ Name, amen.
