Victorious Lamb

Revelation 17:14   (KJV)    14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

We never run out of reasons to praise our loving and victorious heavenly Father—our God. With the myriad people who treat Him as their enemies, after all their merciless attacks against God, our Father remains unscathed. His attackers have come and gone; many of them have returned to dust, our God still lives; He still reigns, and He will continue to do so—live and reign forever. Doubtless, it’s wise to be on His side; it’s an infinitely huge blessing to be His child. How amazing it is, when the world hits us with its most devastating blows, only to find out that in the middle of what they consider as our most humiliating defeat, they’re actually being paraded in front of the whole creation as vanquished foes.

All assaults against God are futile. This is obvious, but people foolishly continue in this useless and harmful exercise. Very interestingly, most of the attacks come from those who don’t even believe in His existence. We pray earnestly that they would be healed from their biased blindness and humbly bow before the Truth. It’s hard to kick against the Rock. Anyone who does this only hurts themselves. We don’t want them hurt. We want them saved and comforted.

During the end times, Satan and his cohorts will muster all the forces they can, and with coordinated efforts, they will launch an all-out assault against God and His people. This time, our Lord Jesus will literally and personally face them. And again, clearly and predictably, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world will win. And He wins simply because of the obvious reason: He is the Lord of all lords and the King of all kings. All rulers, powers, and principalities will bow before Him. You would think that His attackers would have given up a long time ago, but pride and foolishness blinds. That’s why we as His children are extremely grateful. He opened our eyes, that’s why it’s our heart’s cry and life’s passion to live faithfully before Him. Imagine, we also enjoy the victories, but He’s the one fighting the battles.
