Mountains May Crumble, But

Isaiah 54.10 - Mountains May Crumble, But2Isaiah 54:10   (KJV)   10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Heavens and earth will pass away; God remains. God is God; He’s the I AM; Who He is today will be Who He is forever. He is immutable—unchanging. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, eternal, loving, just, holy, and righteous. He is merciful, gracious, and kind. The mighty mountains will be shaken, the glorious stars will fall, kingdoms will end, blasphemous voices will be silenced. His Kingdom will go on, and on… This is a declaration in the eternal Word from the eternal God. Everything God declares through His Word is true. Every proof available proves it. God and His Word, they’re undeniably and absolutely dependable.

We believe God because God proves Himself. He created heavens and earth; He lives in all His children; He is with everyone; He knows even the innermost secrets of our hearts. He existed before anything ever existed and He will live forever. He demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still drowning in sin, Jesus came and sacrificed His life for our salvation. No one can bribe Him; no one can tempt Him to sin. How many times have we sinned and we were given time to repent instead of being punished right away? We will spend eternity with Him in glory not because of our accomplishments but because of His. God is Who He says He is. He does what He says He will do; He will be Who He says He will be.

We, true believers, faithful followers have a billion and more reasons to rejoice; we’re in really good hands; we’re in a really good company. This is not about being a Democrat, a Republican, or an Independent. It’s not even about being an American. It’s about being a Christian, about being His. Everything about our lives is a journey of increasing glory. We have full life now; it’s about to become even fuller. It’s wonderful now; it’s about to become even more wonderful. We may be shamed and disgraced now, but we will be vindicated, lifted up and glorified. The eternal God Who is all so true to His Word, the Lord of Hosts, our Redeemer will end every word, every action, and every thought that raises itself up against God, his Kingdom, and His children. And He, He will just forever be the awesome, perfect Him.
