2 Timothy 3:14 KJV
“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them”
Faithfulness to the Word and/or the faith is indispensable in our lives as His people. We learn directly from the Scriptures with the Holy Spirit as our teacher. We also learn from faithful teachers who the Lord has placed in our lives–people who are in this journey before us. Both ways are God’s ways; both are blessings.
The last days will usher in increased evil. It calls for greater vigilance and faithfulness in the life of the saints. We are firm on our grip of God’s Word; we need our spiritual compass; with it our beliefs and lifestyles aren’t confusing. God, in His goodness and graciousness provides us with additional able and willing helps and guides–believers who we can trust, not just because of our relationship or closeness to them; they are brothers and sisters in the Lord who are uncompromising and whose fruits obviously speak of their genuineness as God’s very own.
There’s truth, half-truth, and no-truth. Although unpopular, we stand for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Our disciplers and we know the real deal. We are laughed at, and we’re maligned; we’re unpopular to the world, but that doesn’t change our stand or diminish our status before God. Many will choose to follow whoever and whatever in opposition to God; we choose to walk and grow in the truth–at all cost.
