Mark 5:34 (KJV) 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
There is power in faith in God. Jesus pointed out to the healed woman that her faith was the cause of her healing. After suffering from bleeding for twelve years, after going from one doctor to another, after having no success from any kind of treatment, she had faith that if she could only touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed. She did, and she got healed.
Faith matters. It is through faith that we are saved. It is through faith that we are healed. It is by faith that the saved ought to live. It’s interesting how some believers who passionately preach about faith as an essential part of salvation become very cautious and even against the notion of faith in healing and God’s other provisions. It’s the same faith. No, I don’t want to belong to any anti-faith movement. We ought to continually live in faith in the God Who saves and heals, answers prayers, helps, guides, provides, and will return. Faith and God aren’t contradictory notions; they fit perfectly well together. God’s Word didn’t teach us about God without faith; it also didn’t teach us faith without God. Let’s continue to walk by faith in the One true God.
Our Sovereign God, thank You for giving us the gift of faith through which we can appropriate all your graces. We love you.
